Although the story of Mr. Tabor in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest should sound like a happy ending, we can tell by the "TONE" or the attitude of the author towards what he is writing, that it is not a happy ending.

We then began reading and discussing the novel.

Read the story in advance of the exam to give yourself the best possible opportunity to do well on this test.
Here’s the essay question for the exam:
Write an essay in which you analyze the symbolic meaning of the sky falling in "The Ceiling." What does this metaphor represent? How is it critical to understanding the story?
